Babungo Album

Remember when visitors came to our home and we brought out the photo album? We sat together, turned pages slowly, and someone would say: “This is your grandfather. He could repair radios with no tools.”

Those albums are gone now. Lost. Forgotten.

Phones store photos but bury them. Social media is too noisy. In 10 years, your child might not know their grandmother’s face.

Babungo Album is that old photo album, brought back. One place where our faces and names and nicknames live forever.

No login. No noise. Just memory.

How to add someone:

  1. Click “Add Memory”
  2. Upload a photo
  3. Write their name
  4. Write what they were “known as” (e.g., “The radio repairman,” “Queen mother,” “First to go to university”)
  5. Submit

Photos look best in landscape or square. Portrait photos will show with cropping.

What happens next?

Your photo appears in the album. Anyone can scroll and remember. Anyone can click “Remember” to show they haven’t forgotten.

Who can add?

Anyone. Because in Babungo, memory belongs to everyone.

Start now. Add your mother. Your father. The Fon who ruled before you were born. The neighbor everyone feared until he laughed.

In 100 years, someone will open this album and know: This is who we came from.
